I was at that playoff game, It was cold but i had my winter gear for it, Snow bowl against the Raiders too in the tuck rule game, Not as cold, But festive snow and many snow angels on the field lol.

One of my brothers is a raiders fan and went to that game. Security had to escort him out because fans were throwing beers, cups, and food at him. I wanted to go to the game but he said I was too young and it was too cold

True story.

The Thanksgiving prior to that seasons playoff, I got the biggest piece of the wish bone from the turkey. I forgot who I went against to pull it apart, but I got the biggest piece. Not sure why I did this but my wish was for the Patriots to win the Super Bowl.

During that game against the Raiders when the play happened with Brady and it went under review, I went to this little bottle that I kept the piece of the wish bone in and said, “remember my wish”. Moments after, they ruled Brady was in the process of throwing the ball and ruled it an incomplete pass. Well the rest is history.

looking back, I deserve a super bowl ring.

I was at that game in person.  Cold and blustery with snow in the air but nothing really accumulating.  Drunkest crowd I've ever been around.  Bills fans would blush.  I don't think anyone in the stadium sat down the entire game.  Not kidding.

Blew a lot of $$$ on those $7.50 bud light 16oz plastic beer bottles back then.

Same beer will be $18 now

We had a pretty sweet deal though, A buddy of mine and now his ex wife had 6 season tickets to the Pats, My wife and i split a pair with another couple that was friends with them from 2000-2007, They lived in Wrentham so we would stay over and travel back on Monday or Tuesday if it was a Monday night game, She became good friends with the usher ( we were in sec 128 row 22) in our section having those tickets for 15 yrs, So whenever he confiscated beer from underage patrons he would call down to here and my wife and her would meet him on the concourse and he would give them the beer to bring back to our seats.

@OceanStWx talks about that game since he went to it. It was so cold the beers were freezing in the stands if you didn’t keep drinking them.

The first outdoor hockey game they had was I think in Edmonton, and it was 20 below, the beers were freezing faster than you could drink them.

00z NAM turning back the clock a few days to show a nice moderate event tomorrow evening, with a Cape Cod jackpot if it can stay cold enough. Likely cut these numbers by 25%…but would be a beautiful and COLD weekend.

Need to see some other models supporting this closer late strengthening development.

I forget what year it was...but it was one of the years when the Wolf Pack were changed to the stupid Whale and they had the outdoor game in East Hartford....BRUTAL....BRUTAL. It was like 50F two days before and then the Arctic front came through. It was in the teens that day with strong winds.

The game was 7:00 and I got there at like Noon. I couldn't even finish my 40 tailgating and by the time the game started I was frozen. Many of us spent much of the game in the bathroom where there was some heat. The game also went into OT. It took me like 3 days to warmup. I don't ever think I'll do an outdoor hockey game again because of this.

Got 2” or so of paste last night, actually quite pretty. The snow gun also helps the visual quite a lot

Over this way the hill picked up 5-6” dense snow last night... Skiing was quite good.  A paster above 1,200ft.  Had to be a good half inch of frozen QPF overnight… surfy snow.

Only a few tenths crusty coating down in town.  But the ski areas along the Spine got a decent event.

My grandfather took me to my first Patriots game back in 1990 against Washington. It was the last year the field used astroturf before switching back to grass. It was a horrific night with temps in the 30s and steady rain.

Very on-brand for that season, the Patriots threw a pick six and then got safetied when the long snapper snapped the ball into the stands out of the back of the end zone for a safety on a punt attempt. So the Patriots were down 9-0 and Washington’s offense hadn’t taken the field yet. Luckily for my grandfather, he was a huge Washington fan all his life.

The other notable thing about that game was all the drunks. Even obvious to a 9 year old. Some of them fell down the bleachers a couple rows. Back then, they didn’t even kick you out for that type of crap, lol. They couldn’t fill those seats.

I got to witness a lot of bad football back in the 70's, A few of my buddies worked for LL Beans, They did 2 bus trips a year to the Pats, They would pick the games, As we wanted to see every team in the league, We were in the nose bleeds up in the 300's, Bus ride down and back, Tailgate, Food with your ticket was $25, Started drinking as soon as we boarded at 7 am as we had to make a stop in PWM, Some very long days........ha ha.

Back in the early 80s a friend of mine calls me early Sunday morning, he has 2 tickets to the Pats against San Fran, snowed 8-10 inches Saturday night, we get to the stadium, they didn't clear the snow so we had to brush off our seats and our feet were on top of 18 inches of snow, my ass was frozen by half time. They lost and were out of the playoffs after than game.

I remember going to a game in the 1970s in December.  It was sunny but highs were in the 20s.  The only thing I remember about the game was mini Mac Herron running back a punt for 76 yards and a TD.  After the game it must have taken us 2 hours before we could move our legs…lol.
