jbenedet
Something dystopian about this thread title. Perhaps, instead, I'll just read it as sarcasm... Over this period, I have received 2" of snow but also 2" of rain; pack is about to get wiped-out area wide up to the "north of the wall" lakes region latitude, and the beginning of December ends in less than 4 days. Yep...honestly is the best start to December since 2019.

'wet cold' is the absolutely pinnacle in 'abysmality' ( probably not a word but should be ...) it's part in parcel as to why spring in new england is straight from satan's heart and shouldn't actually exist in reality. heh. mean, soon as i clear a million ... buying a bug-out home option somewhere else, and will automatically just f'n leave on or about march 15 and not return until the pattern has convincing pulled the bd dildo out for that season...usually early may but with caution - i'll take a 10 f white out choking snow rates before a 35 f rain. you can actually stay relatively dry in the former because snow takes time for snow particles to change phase states, and also ...the cold dps evaporate whatever tries to enter water really fast... that's why snow "seems" drier than rain ...because it is. cold wet sucks life energy out of you. there's a reason why people that slip into the n. atlantic have 3 minutes to live.

jbenedet
Will be dry slot for many of us east of the CT river Looks like VT going to be worst area for flooding. That has been a recurring theme...might as well keep it going.

I'll just take near average at this point, a few mid-range 4-7" storms to show the kids. Not asking for much.

Sent from my SM-S146VL using Tapatalk Well combination rainfall+snowmelt Southern VT, in particular. I stupidly didn't look much into interior Maine. That actually looks the worst based on latest guidance. NH looks relatively spared as precip max is collocated with the areas of minimal snowpack/unfrozen ground.

mahk_webstah
Beginning to wonder if we really lose our snow pack. I mean, how long will the period be of warm temperatures and high winds before a cold again. In the woods we have not lost much snow and really not in the fields either. There’s about seven or 8 inches of thick Liquid filled snow in the woods. If we keep half of that and it freezes, it’s going to be here for a while. Temp is like 33.
