Front and backend and no warmth or dews up there Not sure what you are looking at. There is no front end snow and probably 80% of this is rain and a lot of it. Places like Stratton or Killington Vermont are probably going to see 3 inches of rain and then maybe an inch or two of snow if they are lucky on the backend. All guidance shows this. I mean, it is what it is, we’ll recover, but it’s a real shame to get a monster wet system like this week after all the gains that were made. And this is a moisture laden, slow-moving , south to north system with rain all the way into Canada. Oh well.

mahk_webstah
Was more out there than I expected. Closer to 3 inches than two. It’s been awesome to introduce the babies to winter. We rigged the jet sled with some seats from the double stroller and the twins love it. 5

Hopefully all the cables holding our bridges hold again We maintain categorical PoPs with rain in this timeframe for the 5th straight forecast cycle as confidence continues to increase in this event. Moisture transport into the area is anomalous and on a par with storms in Dec 2023. A powerful low level jet will draw deep moisture northward from the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday into Wednesday night. How many of these have we had over the last few years? Fascinating from an objective wx perspective, endlessly frustrating for winter enthusiasts though. The state just announced another round of funding for businesses impacted by last December’s similar event.

jbenedet
About 2” in Dover before the melt began. Nice little event. Scenery looks beautiful painted in white. I actually shoveled a bit in the shady spots given the solar min and black ice risk that comes with it. Early spring snow vibes now given the overnight snow and the sound of melting that started around sunrise.

We’ll likely warm up here behind the cold front with mixing. Westerly upslope spots will obviously have more efficient cooling with the onset of the CAA.
