These WAA events typically over perform qpf . Wrings out all the moisture. Youlll see and tip the cap tomorrow

Don’t love the track of it. Screams pretty quick dryslot after the initial isentropic burst but we’ll see. I’m sticking with C-1” here but can’t totally rule out getting lucky with 2”.

I wonder how much damage the rain does this week. We’ve had daily snow yet the stake is stuck at 10” depth, so it’s starting to have some heft to it. I think as long as it doesn’t get too warm the damage won’t be too bad, but of course we’ve seen bigger packs wiped out lately. Either way though, this December so far has been a different beast from the last 2 years. Nice to see

Absolutely firing at MRG right now. 6+ easily up high overnight and still dumping.

I was gonna ask about that area..with SB so far behind, I didn’t know if the Mad River area was getting the goods too. Only explanation for SB must be what Mvrexpert said; mountain ops concentrating on getting the new heavens gate spinning because I would be disappointed if I was a SB regular.

Check out Sugarbush’s latest social post.  They’ve had to stop snowmaking completely due to low snowmaking pond levels.  Thats a tough break.

Not to sound the alarms just yet but their are strong signals for a big storm around the 22nd of December as a trough tries to establish itself with cold air around too. You can see it on the GEFS and the EPS. That pops a nice positive PNA as well.

Still have a decent layer of snow in the front yard and shaded part of the driveway down here in torch land. I guess I’ll take what I can get.

Still snow covered in most of my yard but the south facing torch spots are bare on the street. But at least it feels and looks like winter for the most part. Better than the last 3 Decembers which were just hot garbage…and an emphasis on the “hot”.
