CoastalWx
End of EPS is close to something more wintry I suppose, but Gah...that trough really digs into CA. Only reason we may not be growing palm trees is that ridge above AK. Could be an overrunning and icy look for some in NNE at least.

A couple inches so far on top of the old snow.

wokeupthisam Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM I'll trade a suboptimal look in the middle of December for a reprieve from the Grinch. If we get a wintry appeal anytime after Dec 22nd or so, I couldn't care less what it does beforehand.

There used to be a guy in the neighborhood I grew up in that ran through town naked, he was in good shape and fast and at one time held the world record for pushups. He used to run to the shopping plaza and put his ass up against the big windows at the stores. No drugs, just mentally ill. 1

Looked like a overweight Arlo Guthrie in a thong. Screamed through the streets on a motor scooter with the music blaring. Harmless I guess , although no matter how much bleach I used I couldn't erase the memory.

All I know is, the last several winters have almost always seen extended period moderating periods verifying even warmer than originally modeled, while modeled cold periods ended up shorter than first expected? This repeating winter theme is getting old. I know right now the Pacific looks different than the last couple of Decembers, but the same scenario is in play? Hopefully trends move in a more favorable direction for the midmonth period, but who knows!
