You can't miss windows in winter, this is a big one.

You also can’t believe everything you see at only two weeks out., this was issued two weeks ago for the period starting today….pretty epic fail!  In fact, if you would have guessed exactly the opposite of this map, you would have been a genius.  I’m sure you bought this completely two weeks ago.

That was a weird call because on the 15th guidance was hinting colder.

Agreed…but it was only hinting at that point.   And everyone on here was in the torch train. I mean look at Kevin’s comment lol.

I’m with you, and hope we can grab something.  the precise evolution of any threats are not known. But we have the cold for a solid stretch, so let’s see what we can muster.

Stop.  That’s not what I’m saying. And you know that.   The point is just a mere two weeks ago, most(you included) did not believe any of what is happening now was in the cards. In fact, as you can see, you advised everybody, not to buy in to any cold on 11/15.

So the proof is, you did not know, and neither did most.  And to be fair, Tip was alluding and so was Steve, but it was not believed by the masses.  And That’s fine.

So now we have a few threats out there. Maybe they don’t work out.  But the nuances that will make them fail or not, have not been determined just yet.

JUST Two weeks ago on November 15th, it was forecast by our NWS no less, to be a blast furnace today, and for the next two weeks. It’s exactly the opposite.   I think that speaks for itself.

Look.. I'm not sure why there is a bunch of you guys who have been knocking down what we are already seeing. Ok, we may not get that blockbuster Snowstorm during this period, but we are cold ( And you and several others have jumped all over us who've said that the cold is coming ). I think everybody in here wants the same thing, well pretty much everyone. But, we are in December and it's an iffy month for Southern New England and Mid-Atlantic when it comes to big snows. Plus, there's always that possibility of a surprise where we don't see a storm on the maps until less than a week out.... It has happened before.

Point is, I think you guys tend to want to knock down the cold or snow because you don't want to get yourselves too excited about something just to be let down. Trust me, we all feel the same way. Just ride the ride. Have more beer and enjoy it, that should do the trick.

It’s not an iffy month . It’s a winter month and should be cold and snowy . Losing December loses 1/3 of the winter. You’re only left with 2 months before spring . I don’t see much on models to get excited about other than 1-3” here Wed Night

Kev, you were mocking me. And I’m cool…it’s all in fun.  But can we just see what the next couple weeks bring?  Yes, we are all antsy, and are looking out there for the snow.  If we come up with zero…it will have been an unfortunate wasted stretch/window for sure.  And I’ll give you and Luke and anybody else credit for guessing nothing would materialize for us.  Let’s give it some time though, the cold is just settling in now.

It still can be iffy, especially early in the month..so he’s correct.

You do know that Morch averages more monthly snowfall than December, right?

I mean, you really have to know this

Dec is typically a little colder. Definitely less sunlight.  I prefer to get at least some snow in December and feel pretty good that will happen.

Mr Doom and Gloom is in a rut.  He needs some winter magic.

I haven’t been doom and gloom at all. I’m actually being realistic . I’m not down and out. I’m facing  what could be a very real possibility . Why set oneself up for let down ?

The feel may be different, I agree. But it’s the snow that matters.  March doesn’t average more snow than December because it feels differently.

When it snows in early December, we have colder and hopefully snowier weather to look forward to, when it snows in March, we know it's going to melt soon and warm up.

Snow this time of year can make it a great winter . Get it early and get into the vibe. In Morch it’s warming quickly, sun is high and it melts as soon as it stops falling. It’s just padding stats at that point and people are in full spring / summer mode . It’s totally not comparable

And why worry/set one’s self up about something you have zero control over either. Right now, on 11/30, you are guessing that there is gonna be no snow over the next couple weeks.

Ok cool, that’s your take.  But your take 14 days ago, was don’t buy any cold either, and you even sited the NWS outlook.

December is a start of winter. Yes, but climatologically, it's not considered a snowy month. Also, Mark should be considered a snowy month. Yes, The daylight hours get longer and the Sun angle gets stronger, but we get some good snows in March and have had good snows in March, so why you're writing that off is beyond main

Also your comment ww... Are you delusional or something. Seriously, you posted that it was going to be a warm first half of December, you kept talking about it and saying to everyone stop believing that we'll get cold. Cold. And what happened, we're opposite of what you said. You're not being realistic, your being combative.

I'm trying to keep this thing civil and discuss things like adults. It's supposed to be a forum to discuss what is upcoming. And yes, we can have opinions on our thoughts of what we think might happen and they may not be the same. But you and a few others really like to stir the pot.

Let's just move on and enjoy what's happening and look forward to what could happen. We have zero control over what actually happens, we can only look at what the models show for the future engage what we think might happen. Let's do that instead of attack each other. Isn't that why we come in here?

That’s not what I said. We could get the big un you’re counting on/ forecasting.. I just don’t see it being likely

Sure. But it can also be a one and done too.  And who the F are you kidding..a big blizzard in March will have your shorts drenched just as quick as in December. So stop the BS. Sure it will melt faster…who cares at that point.

I've lived in the Northern CT area for 54 years... and December has ALWAYS been an iffy month. Many more times than not we've gotten very little snow until the very end of the month. Some here talking like it's the first week of February LOL
