Man, has it been windy here today.  Probably one of the only times I had to be really careful to be ready to handle a wind gust against our vehicle while on the interstate.

The wind direction didn’t seem to be consistent either. One moment I was blown to the right. Next I was getting blown to the left.

I was driving into the foothills outside of JC, and saw plenty of snow showers in the mountains.  Looks like areas above 4,000' had snow on the ground.

Some accumulation above 2000 feet on Stone Mountain just north of Jonesville. Snowcover lowers the further west on the Mountain. Looks like down to around 1700 ft above Ewing in the White Rocks area of the Mountain. Probably an inch or so above 2500 there with a heavy dusting to half inch down to 1700 ft.

My fiance and I were on our way to Grundy from Keen Mountain. We got about 2 miles on our trip and a monster band of snow hit. Roads became instantly covered, whiteout conditions. My fiance turned the car around and went straight back home. It lasted for around 10 minutes before letting up to a moderate snow.

Seeing lots of reports that 23 is a mess.

Just looking at some social media posts.  It looks like some areas in Johnson Co, TN, received 2-3" of snow(or more).  Some areas of SW VA have been impacted as well by these strong snow bands.  I am surprised not to see lightning or hear thunder with these.  We have had a 2-3 bands roll through MBY.  It has melted know, but it was a heavy dusting to 0.5" of snow at times.

Working remote today per my boss’s request as the black ice was enough to cancel several schools in my area. Freezing temps have persevered the powdered dusting we received yesterday. My kids’ faces say it all. Is it Fryday yet?

Same here. Just walked outside in Kingsport to warm my car up before work and was shocked to see about a half inch of snow on everything and light snow still falling. Roads haven't been touched. Might be an interesting ride to work!  ;)
