15° this morning at the house. I know we’ve seen colder, but it’s pretty cold considering it’s early December. MRX says there’s a chance some areas even outside the mtns in NE TN and SW VA could hit the upper single digits to around 10 with this next front on Friday morning.

Man, the wind is howling.  I would guess we easily exceeding 40-50mph gusts on my end of TRI.  Truckers are pulled over at rest stops right now.  It is not an easy day to be a high profile vehicle on the interstate.  I am very surprised no wind advisories have been issues for the valleys of TRI.

Starting to get some mixing here. Temp has fallen from 46 at 6:30 to 36 now. Someone else mentioned 36 was the magic number there. Seems to be the case here too.

Around 3/4ths inch at the house when I left. Heavy snow in town but a heavy dusting so far. It was 32 at the house and it's 34 in town.

Ironically the truck read 36 when it transitioned over while taking the kids to school.

Snow really lightened up here. Getting shafted as heavier returns are south and North of us. Moisture being depleted around us leaving us with lighter Snow.  The way the ball bounces sometimes. Temp is now 31. Hopefully we can get a heavy ling enough lasting burst to get us at least a half inch. So far dusting on grass . About quarter inch on snowboard. Ugh.

Man, the flake size has increased tremendously here in the last little bit. It seems that for whatever reason though I can only get a light dusting. I think it’s bc the rates are not holding up long enough to overcome the warm, wet ground.

edit: That last band meant business for sure! Some extremely heavy snow. Still could only manage a dusting. So I went up on Crockett Ridge and there was probably between 1/2-1in up there.
