Jed33
Somehow overnight, the temp went up here to 34° now, so it’s all just a rain snow mix now. Must be some WAA or boundary layer issues where I’m at. Oh well, it was fun to watch it while it was falling last night.

I have 6 dogs, all from people dropping them out as pups. When you live off the beaten path, people seem to think it's okay to dump everything from shingles and tires to dogs. Ironically, it's much easier to get to the recycling center, which is located by the animal shelter, than it is to get here.
John1122
I peaked out at 3/4ths of an inch. My cousin up the road got 2.5 inches. They were 29-31 the entire night. I got down to 31 briefly and went back up to 33 by this morning.
BuCoVaWx
From what my girls have measured, we have 4.5 inches here. That's more than I figured we would end up with. Very nice early season snow. My pic isn't the greatest, but shows a little. 5
Carvers Gap
We ended up from a dusting to a 1/2" of snow. I drove through almost convective bands last night and this morning. Definitely a nice event to start the season.
Carvers Gap
But ya'll, I love this kind of weather. It is cold, windy, and spitting snow. After two and half extra months of summer, glad the switch finally flipped.
Daniel Boone
My official measurement was 2.9. KMRX put a Map out with totals. It was way low for Lee County. I realized I forgot to call them this Morning. Just spoke with them. Hopefully they correct it. They have Jonesville with 05-1 ". I went through there this morning and there was at least a couple inches. Pennington gap had less with an inch or a little more.
1234snow
I measured 1.5 inches on my deck yesterday morning at 7 am. Some winters we don’t even get 1.5 inches for the whole season!
fountainguy97
2.5" total here. Most fell in that first wave of precip. my totals the last 2 winters are 4.3 (23-24) and 4.0 (22-23).
Save the itchy algae!
2.5" total here. Most fell in that first wave of precip. my totals the last 2 winters are 4.3 (23-24) and 4.0 (22-23). How did you only get 4.3” last season? We got 9” alone from that one storm and Farragut is usually one of the lowest snow total areas. .
