But fr, we look good for at least the grass being covered for next week. And we also at least don't seem to be losing the signal for a shot or two later in the month

michsnowfreak
Finally looking good for some synoptic snow here. Should see 2 inches or so Friday, more lake showers saturday, then a clipper Monday. Will be nice to lay down a blanket of snow onto the frozen ground as these daily mood flakes and dustings sublimate quickly in the cold dry air.
mimillman
You can’t make this up. Gaping QPF hole smack over northern Illinois, after two back to back winters of 20” departures

DocATL
Chicago is bound to get something soon.I’m at least happy that the Sunday clipper is missing us to the north. That’s more palatable than south and east for some reason..

DocATL
One heckuva synoptic rain event coming for next weekend per the GFS which means a reprieve from cold and dry. Honestly…that’s improvement.I would worry about ice to our south however with the low level cold from all the snow they’ve had. Unfortunately this system only clears the table for big cold into the plains so we punt the warm up and reset the pattern.

I'll eat grass if we get a rainer before Jan. 30 out of this pattern. 3
