There is a coating here in south Hanover. I dunno about down in the borough. Temp is 32.2 at the house and its been snowing for at least 3 hours.

She is right in the middle of town, like 6 blocks east of the main intersection.  Mini heat island thing going on there plus a little lower elevation then the south side.  I drive back and forth with the kids all the time... she lives in a local snow anus.

LOL!

Yeah, two winters ago we had a coating one morning with a changeover scenario and it was wet downtown. Def a little more elevation where I am than down there.

Just got to the base of catoctin park and am planning to hike up to around 1700ft, the microclimate difference is already crazy. Went from no snow on the group near Thurmont to a coating on everything

Yea, it’s a thing. You doing wolf and chimney rock trail? That’s a good loop.

This is definitely not a normal way to get precip here, with bands rotating down from PA lol. If this was January it would be a cold/blustery little snowstorm.

The counterclockwise rotation of this low is nuts

The difference with elevation is wild. I went from blizzard conditions and 30 degrees to 36 and rain in about a half mile. Back in Crofton and it's light rain and 39. Still a chill day for November.
