Chris78
46 degrees when I left Thurmont. 35 with snow in the Catoctins on the way home from work. Non accumulating. 38 and rain on the other side in Smithsburg. I bet they get 6"+ tomorrow at 1200ft +.

Jacks Mt would usually cover that spread when comparing to Emmitsburg for smaller events (3-6,4-8). Halloween storm years ago really illustrated the elevation impact.

I am just imagining dirt roads, narrow narrow spaces...steep inclines haha. btw...what happened to extremeskins Its around 2hrs to Davis from Manassas, all interstate/freeway except a short stretch between I 81 and Wardensville, WV From Leesburg it may be more of a straight shot using Route 50, but that will be more single lane and a lot of turns. If you are looking for easy the highways will get you there
