GFS didn’t really shift south any but some of the heavier stuff is more spread over the MD/PA border and trails down into DC. Suggests 1” is achievable in PSU land with somewhat cooperative temps… snow TV should make it down to DC.

I am cool with snow TV given my location. Honestly, that would be the best case scenario. IMO

Yeah, we've only got 18 months until we're empty nesters, so we plan to move to Berlin/West OC area in Maryland where we already have a second home.  Will keep one of our homes here in Davis as a second home for snow chases and escape from the heat in summer.  I'll still get in my snow fixes lol.

I grew up in Salisbury .  Know Berlin and surrounds well !

I'm going to do a detail report from different elevations and slope directions. I'll document it with lots of pictures. I'm going to head out Friday, stay Saturday and drive back Sunday. I'm hoping to get some bluebird shots from the top of the Allegheny Front on Sunday.

Every once in a while you can have camera on and  the transition just pops right in front of you. West of Cumberland gets real fun

Wind howling. It knocked over a couple bags of leaves. Why isn’t there a state of emergency?

Seriously... there was a bag of trash floating down my street.

Looks like a later start on wintry precip tomorrow. But lasts all day now, which is new. NAM is colder at the surface than gfs/euro. But all are still marginal.

Yeah. The later start isn’t what we want I think. But freezing level is still around 950mb for most of central MD, so that should support snow reaching the ground in heavier bursts?

Yeah a later start doesn’t help. Soundings on all 3 support the freezing 950, but the surface is just a smidgen too warm. Even up here it’s 33 at the surface when precip arrives. Wet snow that won’t amount to much

At 33 you could accumulate if it comes down heavily for a time. Measure immediately! But the 36-39 IMBY is 100% white rain.

Looks like it’s snowing at Snowshoe (and they have their snow guns going).  katabatic picked a good place to chase for it.

It’s funny you mention that because in the middle of the night I hear what sounded like a GE Turbofan jet engine power up and was like what in the ever-loving F is that:15500d585fb7025960d57aae8247c075.jpg

I don’t particularly care about accumulation in November but just being able to have that snowglobe look for a while Friday would be a real treat.

Want to get on the board as early and often as possible
