Edit: 03z RAP only shows 13” for me versus the 18” on the 21z. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water. Agreed. Models are just splitting hairs now. Time for nowcasting. The consensus for a big snow is there.
NWAflizzard
Anytime I see heavy snow and a low of 5 degrees in my forecast I feel pretty good about things. Good luck everyone!
lookingnorth
It's not looking interesting for the Norman/OKC area, but hopefully you all in Tulsa and points northeast get something good. The 06Z HRRR is trending a bit drier for everyone unfortunately.
The Ole Bucket
Likely going to score a quick inch this morning here in SEMO before the main event.
StormChazer
We are now casting!! Some freezing drizzle this morning in Tulsa, but not a ton yet. The calm before the storm. Was kind of hoping for some earlier ice accumulations to prevent people from coming to work today. Now everyone is going to scramble in a few hours to get home as things turn bad fast. TSA upped Tulsa’s snowfall totals as well. Last I saw, calling for 7.5 inches in downtown. 9-12 at my house!
JoMo
Radar returns increasing and it looks like the main show is about to begin. Got a dusting from the early morning stuff. Shooting for 8" or so here, probably more down across northern Arkansas.

StormChazer
I just drove into work(I work for QT Corporate and they don't close for ANYTHING), it was sleeting with occassional flurries mixed in up in Owasso, by the time I got into Tulsa/Broken Arrow, it was all freezing rain and the roads were deteriorating fast. I am fully prepared to spend the night at work if I have to.

Pretty unbelievable, I'm in Bixby and we have been getting freezing rain for a few hours and you couldn't pay me enough money to get out on the roads right now.

Yeah, they are a FANTASTIC employer, but that is my one complaint. I get the idea, the gas stations stay open 24/7, 365, rain, sleet or snow, so they want corporate to be held to the same standard to support them, but like....there has to be a point you draw a line in the sand for events like this. Even if they tell me in a few hours that I can go home, by then it'll be so bad, I don't know that I want to do that. I'll be half tempted to spend the night here. I would for sure if I didn't have a wife and 2 kids back at the house...

The Waterboy
All snow here in NWA. Decent sized flakes. Roads are primarily wet even at 23°. Happy to see we escaped the sleet/fz rain. Hopefully everybody transitions quickly.
JoMo
Been snowing here. It's the same small type of flakes that happened during the blizzard in 2011. Blowing around everywhere. About down to 12 degrees.
ouamber
Too much sleet and freezing rain in midtown Tulsa! This SUCKS! Southbound HWY 75 is closed near the Tulsa/Okmulgee county line. Several semis have collided.
MUWX
Radar in Oklahoma is concerning to me. High res models from yesterday afternoon greatly overestimated moisture down there it appears. Long ways to go, but I have to assume that has downstream impacts.
stormdragonwx
Snowing pretty good here at work in Springdale, AR with the ground already getting covered including streets and parking lots. Started as snow and started sticking almost immediately to all surfaces. Currently down to 26F so I expect the snow ratios to start increasing here. I don't want to jump the gun on calling a bust but im starting to feel like we would be lucky to get 6" in Tulsa. We are still getting freezing rain on the south side of town so still pretty ugly regardless.
GSwizzle83
I remain optimistic in portions of MO and AR (along with far NE OK) that we are going to cash in. That warm nose is wreaking havoc in portions of OK though. I wouldn't want to be from OKC east on I-40 right now in this icy mess. US-75 is closed south of Tulsa because of so many slideoffs. StormChazer
I'm not sounding the alarms yet in Tulsa. This precip can fill in quickly on radar. Now, if it's 1PM at still not impressive, then I'll start to moan and groan.

MoWeatherguy
It's gonna have to snow like gangbusters these next few hours for Bella Vista to sniff even 6-8 inches. Small flakes most of the day not much intensity yet.

Doramo
It's been snowing light to moderate since 10am or so and is just now starting to get heavier and more consistant . stormdragonwx
I'm here in Springdale and I think we got warm air aloft messing with our snowfall. Its changed to a snow/sleet mixture. That's gonna kill totals.
