dryslot
Both 12k and 3k are warning snow events verbatim for some, But we need to see if the GFS bites.
SnowGoose69
This could just be the start of everything caving vs a crazy NAM run. The RGEM not having moved towards the Euro was surprising but the GFS in these situations has held out before til 24-36 and the NAM til 48.

TheMainer
About an inch so far and looks like radar has fallen apart a bit, but still lightly falling. Nice mood flakes with the wood stove rolling along. Feeling 3-6 inches Thursday night for here, prefer no snow so things freeze better, but at least I'll have enough to take my 2001 800 triple grand touring project for a spin around the yard. Gonna swap it over to Mach Z pipes and carbs next summer and possibly ship the motor to crank shop to make 200hp on pump gas.

Prismshine Productions
18z NAM has around or just over 1" of QPF for a lot of areas... Do the ratios from there but that was a solid interior runSent from my SM-S146VL using Tapatalk

mahk_webstah
Could be a great start to the season with cold air following. Maybe a lasting snowpack this year for a change.

CoastalWx
HRRR at 18z Thursday looks way more realistic vs the NAM. They aren't far off on low placement either.

Honestly pretty spot on probably, the NWS does do a good job of accounting for local topography and natural snow lines, around here they're usually spot on.
