I LOVE me a blizzard and that setup looks amazing for everyone(edit, at least E/SE 2/3 of NE :D)   Ofc it's not gonna happen like that but ideally that's the December we all want

What happened to you?  You sound like me now, questioning everything that could be fun weather, lol.  You used to see 0.1” QPF and lock in 3-6” five days out.

I absolutely do not want a snowstorm on Thanksgiving. I'm hosting this year and I'm having 20 people here who all have to drive. Now. Bring me some ambiance now. Even some accumulation would be fine. Just nothing that will force people not to drive. 

I'm completely down for a snowstorm or blizzard as we get into early December. Let's go! Mofo's

One thing that concerns me is that even with a 3-4 week window of "good" early winter, we're probably going to deal with that atmospheric river Grinch near 12/23-25.

Not me man.  I got 2 thanksgivings…one Thursday and one Friday, both with different sets of in-laws.  Yes 2 sets of in-laws.  I am sacrificing a goat for the snow gods.
