Yeah I think we are behind a bit.  There are some cold temps at times in the models but it’s going to be a struggle to get down to the base area.  Even today was chilly but not great, production was slow going, a lot more air than water.
I’m not convinced we hit the 22nd.  I think it could be more like Thanksgiving.

Base is 1500 right? That extra 500 feet probably helps jay and killington plus you guys open with 2000 verts. What would get you there? A 72 hour window with wet bulbs in the teens?

I never said that. Only excited for fire. Winter is nonexistent. December looks gone.

Some how we have escaped the embers burning around us here in Windham County; lucky we have had mostly illegal burns to contend with

Yeah 72 hours of teens would do it.

That extra 500 verts makes a lot of difference… so often snowmaking gets to 2,500-2,000ft this time of year then stops.

I want to see 850mb temps under -10C for like three days.

1500ft is also mid-slope climate and like Kevin’s yard… the surface inversion is below that usually.  So we get nighttime profiles where it’s like 24F in town, 34F at 1500ft, and 24F up top.

It’s a challenge to get all 2,100 verts sufficiently buried this time of year without some legit cold.  It’s always fine on the top 1000-1500 feet.

Very good, Very busy, Yourself?

Same, can't believe we are already into November.  My 13yo boy is 5'8, I'm still playing with beer at the brewery and looking forward to a snowy December!  I'm bar tending a theater show tonight featuring a skilled band that tributes The Band, The Allmans and the Grateful Dead, so should be some kind folks in attendance.

We have been so dry around here that fires are starting from just mowing, countless mower fires in the past week. One recently on the hill, behind our caldesac. Kinda scary knowing how dry and fast these fires are moving.

Just stacked our final 2 cords, at least we get to run the wood stove tonight. Finally feels like fall for a change....sub 20⁰ here by morning? Already down to 32.5⁰.

I mean, maybe grumpy but he's not wrong.  Nantucket sound still in the 50's.

Haha true, but any pattern change has to give a colder vibe than the current one.  Sure, maybe it’s recycled Maritime air but need to start somewhere.

Sometimes I think I’m pessimistic but Scooter is just a broken man.

why would you mow the lawn in November lol. And we haven't had rain in like 4 months...why is there a need to mow?

Exactly. It's kind of like shoveling snow in late March when it's going to be 60 the next day.

It's been an interesting evolution into Sandbar Scott over the past couple years. He might be one more BN winter away from wintering in FL

That’d be a phenomenal user name/handle if he leaned into it.

27/21 here this evening.  Normal low is 28F, so we’ve at least hit that mark.

Novie starting off +8.4 up here but looks like 4 of 9 days so far will register below normal.

-1 to -5 departures during cold interludes, and +18 to +23 departures during warm intervals.

It’s felt like fall a lot this fall. And it’s felt like summer very often too. We’ve had a lot cold nights, along with a lot of warm nights  too. The only thing we haven’t had a lot of is clouds and rain.

Micro climate for sure in Tolland.

29 here and frozen again. Mums died in the last freeze here last week. Frosts and freezes very common this autumn. Along with 75 plus degree Indian Summer as well. What a Fall to say the least, if you like beautiful sunny weather.
