Damage In Tolland
52 minutes ago, Snowcrazed71 said: Ok Mr Cynical...lol Seriously though. We do have some rain ( some..not a soaker ) for Sunday Night into Monday morning. Not a drought buster, but enough to give most in SNE some rain. As far as Thursday's Rain.... Don't write it off just yet. Like any storm 6 days out, a lot can change, and will. So we need to take a wait and see on this one. Later in the month their seems to be a pattern change coming in temps, and also could bring some needed precip. I doubt highly that we go through the next several months without some beneficial precip ( not 100% of course ), but we also are not the Sahara Desert where this is a likely outcome. That is tending towards Under.10 quickly

Hazey
Small window of time to watch. Nov 8-12 period. Some subtle signs on the models of a cool shot timed with a s/w. Probably nothing in the end. Off and on snow showers and gusty north winds. Accumulating at higher terrain. It’s a start. Rest of the month looks a bit more interesting. See how it progresses. I don’t think it will do much of anything for fires. With more warmth wind and low dews Monday on that threat stays
dendrite
45/19 Lots to do this weekend. Was going well for an hour and then triggered bad back spasms so I'm out of commission. Anyway, ground is still moist here. The dry weather is great.

Damage In Tolland
I mowed today and it was like I was on a dirt road. The grass is so dry it was like disintegrating. I had to pull my hoodie over my mouth and nose on the tractor. Full of dust head to toe . Hosed a few inches of the tractor. Blew my nose and just all soot on Kleenex . I’m on the living room floor at least three or four nights a week doing basic low back stretches. I’ve gone through several low back episodes in the past few years and I really never want to experience it again. Lumbar, piriformis, glute, quad and hamstring stretches are essential, 1
CoastalWx
We are burning alive here. Fires all over the place. Can see the smoke plume from the Lynn fire. Still have a big one a few miles away in Braintree burning. Lots of other towns drained from mutual aid with multiple fires in many towns. With no sign of winter for weeks, it’s all we got.

The long range ensembles (EPS, GEPS, GEFS) want to keep a big low/vortex in AK right into late November. That has to change IMO if we are to see some true arctic cold get into the pattern

Lumbar, piriformis, glute, quad and hamstring stretches are essential, Caffeine really dehydrates me lately and it triggers a lot of spasms and muscle cramping if I go over my limit. I pivoted from coffee and dark chocolate to kombucha a few weeks ago, but apparently there’s enough caffeine in the tea to affect me. All of these issues typically go away for me after a couple of weeks after I cut the caff out. I should just quit and never have it again, but the cravings always creep back in. bwt3650
Forest fire prevention work in progress here.As warm as it’s been, are you guys really behind at all? Seems jay is right about where they normally would be for a thanksgiving open and def some favorable temps mid week again. Killington is late, but besides them, it really doesn’t look like anyone will have issues with opening by normal dates, or within a week..

There are some cold temps at times in the models but it’s going to be a struggle to get down to the base area. Even today was chilly but not great, production was slow going, a lot more air than water. I’m not convinced we hit the 22nd. I think it could be more like Thanksgiving.
