as far as the dry thing

non issue.  burning?  so what.  it's top soil dry with dead seasonal veg and leaf material.  rivers still flow and res levels aren't hurting.  in one school of thinking, fires here and there are probably overdue around here from a geological perspective, anyway - white man having conquered the land is merely putting dents in Gaia's plans.

entering the low evap season that's likely to rain more than snow much to chagrin of the hopefuls and we'll have nice fluffy mowable lawns by mid february

Both are at UConn. Junior and freshman. My youngest was captain last year . This year’s team was not supposed to be that good but they’ve had a good tournament though they’ve had a fairly easy path so far. Their strength is their defense . I don’t know how Seymour team is , but if they’re very good Tolland may have hands full.

Tolland is favored to win I hear. They crushed Seymour’s nemesis.

Pretty wild language in the warning

Most of the interstates are closed.  The photos look like not a place you want to be stuck… just miles of white nothingness.

WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet.
Winds gusting as high as 40 mph, creating near blizzard conditions
and snow drifts in excess of 8 feet.
