Water must be a bit brisk (50s?) but at least one can warm up easily with temps in the 70s.

If I had to guess, 53-55?  Not nearly as cold as one would expect this time of year, and not noticeably different when I did the same 2 weeks ago.

Enough to shock you momentarily, but not enough to deter you from body surfing a wave or two.

I ride my bike there, about 4 miles one way, so I'm warm enough when I get there and quickly warm after I leave.

Today is a mind f*ck…. walking the dog now by headlamp, it’s dark at 5pm, in shorts and T-shirt like it’s summer… it’s quite the vibe.

80s with dews CON-south today with a Groundhog Day sun angle. Surreal.

Feels like a late summer evening out there. It’s awesome but just a little strange when you remember what the date is. Which begs the question, what is our actual average supposed to be in light of these wild anomalies? Either way, I’m just embracing this surge while it lasts..it makes doing anything outside that much more enjoyable!

This must be what Christmas in New York feels like.

81 at hfd and bos destroys the previous record for nov 6 set just as recently as 2022, by 5+ degrees f !

orh previous was 72, set 2022, now it is 79 at 1000k elevation.

dps at hfd and bos are 55+ ...so this air mass is not just a kinetic fluke. it's 'thermodynamically historic' - if that's a metric

i'm just stunned by this one -

Or according to Wolfie...it's totally normal and good actually
