Not even fucking cold yet and my car battery still died overnight. I'm definitely due to get a new one though so I can't be mad. Nothing will beat losing a fuel injector right after the glorified Christmas fropa of '22

Can tell this storm is missing the Chicago/Detroit corridor. Board is dead quite, would be fucking hopping if that area was jack potting

I feel like the bastard child right now. Although, the jackpot is likely to miss by 25-50 miles to my south. HRRR annihilates Champaign though.

As an alumnus of UofI and living there many years and not getting much snow, I'm rooting for ya!

A complete miss would be more welcome than riding the northern edge all week.  Models kept hope alive with 6+/10+ amounts but  also showing a near miss south.  In the end, I'm in the 1-3"/2-4" area with a 25 mile shift either way having major impacts on the IMBY total.  At least I'd not worried about warm air aloft causing disappointment for me.

Ha, thanks! I’m actually just south of Champaign in Savoy, near Willard airport. The jackpots have been few and far between for the last decade

Hope you get buried. Your area rarely receives big snows

It's to the point where I just laugh about it now. We went from a Winter Storm Watch 36 hours ago to this:

"A chance of flurries between 1am and 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 20. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph."

:axe:

Parts of Iowa have still had no measurable snow this winter, and there is little to nothing in sight.  Meanwhile, Birmingham and Atlanta are getting 2-3" this morning.

This is easily the worst 1st half of met winter I've ever seen, and that's saying something considering how it's been the past decade.

No end in sight either.

I dont think Ill beat last years futility of 17.7" but it might be close.

Talking futility on Jan.10th. lol. You live in an area that could get no snow the rest of winter and still get over 17.7 in March and April.

lol same thing was said last year at this time and we didnt see much more haha. February last year saw 3" March 6" April 0.1"

Since rest of January on the models looks pretty bleak and Im at 6.7" on the year it's not crazy to think it might be close. I do think I go over 20" though
