As posted above.  This would be a trace at all three airports ending the rainless streak.

Yeah. I've had all of the patio furniture and grill uncovered for literally weeks...can't remember the last time I put the covers on the furniture or grill. The upshot is that we got to enjoy all of late summer and early/mid autumn outside during ALL of Aug/Sep/Oct. I know we still need more rain...but I also know that we'll be called to pay for this weather at some point in the future -- likely in the Jan-Apr timeframe in the new calendar year, in the way of cool and wet.  :(

It’s pretty darn warm out

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Something feels inherently “wrong” when you walk outside in late season warmth like this. Low sun angle and warm air just isn’t right.

Yep. Our bodies adjust to lower temperatures well (that's why those first sunny days in the 60s in spring feel so great). Of course now all we get is 60s, 70s, and apparently 80s from oct-march.

I do appreciate the sunshine though.

The dewpoint almost hit 60 in Charlottesville :wacko2:. It felt like late August at lunch.

I agree, but just imagine 1919 when it was 88!!!!!

My high yesterday was 78 and 80 today.....................

I did leaves today and it was disgusting. Shorts and tshirt, leaf dust clinging to my sweaty body.

The only good thing was how dry the leaves are... they mulch really well.

I got bit by a mosquito this evening. I’m angry.

Just a few observations....

Very Dry. Ground like concrete. Landscape requires watering to prevent certain death.

I skimmed the ground.... with a shovel. Anything deeper would require a jack hammer.

It is currently 74F @ 10:44 p.m. EST on October 31st. Seems warm.
