The upshot is that we got to enjoy all of late summer and early/mid autumn outside during ALL of Aug/Sep/Oct. I know we still need more rain...but I also know that we'll be called to pay for this weather at some point in the future -- likely in the Jan-Apr timeframe in the new calendar year, in the way of cool and wet. Our bodies adjust to lower temperatures well (that's why those first sunny days in the 60s in spring feel so great). Of course now all we get is 60s, 70s, and apparently 80s from oct-march. I skimmed the ground.... with a shovel. Anything deeper would require a jack hammer. It is currently 74F @ 10:44 p.m. EST on October 31st. Seems warm.
