OrdIowPitMsp
There was a little bit of patchy frost in the northern suburbs this morning. Driving down to Iowa City this weekend. Expecting spectacular colors along the way.

cyclone77
Looking like widespread 40-50mph southerly winds on Wednesday ahead of the incoming cold front. That should make a big dent in what's left of the fall foliage.
hawkeye_wx
Our normal high temp is now 56º and the normal low is 36º. The low temp Monday and Tuesday nights is expected to be 66º and 69º.

michsnowfreak
Most areas in the 20s today...DTW low was 33°. With all the concrete at an airport it's to be expected, but it really tanks JUST outside the airport property. Low was 24° in Ann Arbor. Went on a Fall hike yesterday. One of those days you want to bottle up...the perfect Autumn day. Fall is so amazing and so short. Already passing peak here. Some areas of great color left but also lots of areas of totally bare. Saw a guy painting natures masterpiece. 6
roardog
It’s been so boring that I’m hoping with a more active pattern that we can get some dense fog. lol
Chambana
Appears a much needed pattern change could be coming to close out October and open up November. As much as I’m loving the wall to wall sunshine, I’m jonesing for a wound up fall system.
Chinook
Here is the discussion from Minneapolis, about record high temperatures. Quote However, across southern MN to western WI, more breaks in the clouds are possible, which could allow highs to warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s. New daily record highs at MSP (78 in 1922) and EAU (77 in 1950) would be a very good possibility. Southerly winds will likely again be breezy from southern MN to western WI.
hawkeye_wx
It's currently looking good for another 1" rain event across my area Wednesday afternoon and evening as a front moves through and a wave lifts northeastward along the front.

Chinook Posted yesterday at 02:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:27 AM When there's no weather, look for optical effects. (maybe?) I did a bit of color enhancing and/or contrast de-enhancing.
