oh i know how it works.   but dark by 4:30 sucks no matter how we cut up the day.  i think what we need is a weird shaped planet that when it rotates ...it's 30 hours on the sun side and 5 hours on the night.   haha

brian was just saying that some people that's fine.  of those i happen to know, most don't like it.  but yeah, there's a practical reason for wanting early light.  i wouldn't want my kids waiting for the bus in the night just being one of those.   ...etc

When we lived in Fort Kent, sunsets in December would be 3:45 at the minimum.  On the rare Decembers with bare ground, headlights would come on by 2:30.

Just in the past 20 minutes or so, we have gotten hazy with a strong smoke smell....I would assume it is coming from the fire near Pawling NY

Indian summers are nice, but pretty sure they aren't suppose to be accompanied by raging wildfires.

I’m going to guess it’s because VT is a one party state..NH not as much

I mean I see none in VT but this is like dozens on every corner and every business.

Just never seen anything like this.  Political booths set up at my nieces’ soccer games on Saturday… very passionate folks.

I’m down in NH this weekend.  Bedford and Merrimack.  Beautiful down here.  But holy crap I’ve never seen so many political signs in my life.  This is incredible.

Their gubernatorial race is insane. The amount of ads slandering both sides is out of control.

That makes sense, it was just shocking.  But comparing NY, MA and VT… the swing state thing makes more sense.  I just had no idea it was like this every election.  The $$$ spent on just signs alone must be staggering.

I never understood that. Do people really choose who they’re going to vote for based on a sign???
