I see frost in our future.

It’ll be interesting up here.  If it’s cloudy and breezy, could see highs in 40s and lows mid-30s.  We’ll hopefully get that clearer night to drop sub-freezing.  The 850mb temps are definitely there for freeze… just need to decouple.

Remember this when getting plenty of exciting rain in Dec-Feb.

Hope it's less than last time.  We had 24.45" Dec-Mar despite only 0.95" in Feb.  That 4-month period was about 5.5" more than any other DJFM here, back thru 98-99.

Can we get to December without a frost?

It looks possible in many areas

I’d be willing to put a friendly wager on that idea.

$50 bucks there’s a widespread frost in SNE before December 1st.   I feel pretty good on my odds lol.

I believe that.  I was just challenging the “no frost until December” nonsense.

I knew there’d be no takers.  Talk is cheap.

You did but you wouldn’t agree to all Climo sites

Obviously Not along coast..otherwise yes. You and Tiger Torch were afraid to take bet for inland sites for obvious reasons. And I upped it to a Hundy.

And you were trying to find a way out, with nonsense terms. There’s always a site or two that doesn’t frost along coast, or otherwise, but you and everybody else knew what I meant about inland sites.

The whole BS of no frost till December was absolute crap, as my bet inferred.  It don’t matter..we all frost way before December as I knew.

High of 75F today at MVL.  Beautiful torch.  Then I see it was 82F last year, guess they are all torches now, ha.

73 here today. You’ve been warmer than here for weeks now.

7 degrees cooler a year later is substantial. You’ll be frosting next week.,enjoy the warmth now.

79F at BDL... 86F last year today.  You've got to be loving it too.

Oh I’ve been enjoying it 100%.  These aren’t negative posts.  It’s awesome.  70F even to Caribou.

When we do 70s and 80s in October now with some frequency, it’s a nice time to be outside.

Just torching departures is how the world rolls.

Your funny. No 80’s here…maybe at the torch spot of BDL, but not here.

All joking aside, I enjoy this weather immensely.  Low humidity warmth that cools off at night.  Whatever the departures are, it doesn’t really matter in a practical sense.  Is it nice out?  Yes.

We may see some flakes very soon too, up at the picnic tables. Next week?

Warm weather and fall foliage go hand in hand now.  Love it.

That's thumpin' foliage!  I was a little concerned earlier this week about muted colors but Brattleboro to Greenfield corridor should be bumpin' next week.  Lots of maples popping bright now.
