I took a break from model watching and went to the casino. I won a $1000. Let's hope my luck extends to our snow accumulation.

nice! What did you win on? Also I hope so too!

Temps are razor thin on the NAM 3km.  IMO going to take more than 500-750ft in the atmosphere of temps above freezing to full melt, especially with how cold the surface is.  Thinking the NAM may have qpf close, but thinking temps might be causing the model to believe its sleet, but in reality it will fall as heavy snow with big flakes that stick together.  Just my opinion, hope everyone is doing well!

Slots. I kept hitting the bonus. I left while I was ahead!

Congrats and almost better you came in just under the minimal handpay.  The 12z GFS is quite icy for central NC with up to an inch of snow as an FYI.

Ah the RAP, a thing of beauty, too bad it’s the RAP haha.  Give me the QPF and good moisture in the dendrite growth zone and I’ll take my chances.  That fluff deck topper last night and Monday’s flow snow that’s leftover needs some company. Also, northern Haywood close to the state line had quite the surprise last night, saw a report of 3” at 4k elevation.
