This looks really good. I'd say 2 to 6 inches along the border. Even though we got rain overnight the ground is cold and won't take much to refreeze. snku_acc-imp.us_ma.jpg

I was thinking that was for this weekend, then noticed the date stamp. Some accumulation over most of Buncombe. Hopefully, that is correct.

I'm not worried about the Friday event. The ensembles and National Blend are all showing snow with no mixing issues at this point. Obviously the finer details will be worked out throughout the week, but to me that is enough of a signal at this range to suggest we have a good shot of accumulating snow even in Asheville and likely the foothills.

My exact sentiments about this weekend as well.

Good afternoon Mnt peeps! Hope you had a blessed holiday season. My prayers are for a continued recovery in the region!

My snow spidey sense is going off about the upcoming weekend event. Historically & synoptically this set up provides the Mnts and to an extent the foothills a decent snow. There is still a lot to iron out but someone is probably going to have some fun. Hope you don’t mind if I pop in every now and then to give my 1.5 cents worth.
