Looks like the 10th holds some hope also. Surely, we will pick up something decent in the next couple weeks.

The storm on the 10th I think trends northward which will put us in the bullseye.  Lots of possibilities this whole month. I just want all the damn snow lol.

I like seeing this to our south this far out. It may play out like this, but it could very easily trend NW. I like our chances. 672cbec55192cd2c1c47935725863ced.jpg

Even without a NW trend, I think that we would be in good shape. Ratios would be high. A low right there,  if that is where it actually ended up, would snow more than what is being printed out.

Regardless, you and Met, and you other higher mountain people should get a few good upslope events coming up.

Upper air pattern continues to waffle with no reliability in any one solution. Models have always struggled with these very cold patterns and the depth of the very cold air. Personally, I believe the 6th is not lost for our area and likely we will see Winter Storm Watches hoisted Saturday evening. I also believe we will see multiple disturbances rotating across the Mountains beyond the 6th offering additional opportunities for snow showers.

The sad thing is, I've saw this play out like that quite a bit over my relic lifetime. One misses just to our North, the other South and then generally cold/ dry with a few flurries or dustings then warms up enough that the next big system is Rain. We wound up in the Screw zone those Winter's. The early to mid 70's come to mind. Hopefully, not the Case this time but , sadly looking like a possibility. On a positive note for you folks on that side of the Mountains, you all faired better than us during those times as the Southern Systems would graze you all and give some accumulation and Cad helped with the other some.
