Buckethead
I figured border counties would be under an advisory by now. I plan on heading up to the cabin tomorrow night with hopes of seeing snow overnight. I expect some accumulations up around 3600 feet by morning Thursday. That's gsp for ya. I don't think they expect advisory criteria to be met except right along the border above 5000'. I'm 4370' and they only have 2-4" in my forecast. I hope so. I'm at the top of Beech and would love several inches up here, although I do have to go to Mountain City tomorrow, I will hopefully be home before NWF gets going so Im not caught out in it.

I’ll be up there snowboarding Friday hopefully. You guys usually get a good bit more than I do, esp in marginal situations. The last storm Feb 20th we ended up with a bit more here. I’d imagine you’re in a prime spot for this one.
Tyler Penland
Even the HRRR has a solid NWF event and it usually lacks. It also has Boone getting wind gusts to 75-80mph Thursday morning so maybe take it with a grain of salt lol

Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk Beautiful shot! I am thinking someone is going to get hammered, but looking at winds it will be a bit more westerly flow. Usually someone gets popped who isn't expecting it. Hopefully it's my backyard! Good luck.

Maggie Valley Steve
Looks like some of that W Texas dust has blown in as well. Perhaps a dusting to an inch of snow here with a W to WNW component of wind tonight.
Met1985
12z gfs looks decent. Looks like the flow will start WNW but then overnight will turn to a more NW flow in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
