It's like Columbia, SC was dropped on top of Asheville. Actually, I haven't looked, but they probably have more snow than here the last 3 years. At least you can head home to snow, lol.

We will go from having marginal cold to the coldest spots in the region.
WxKnurd
Diamond dust has been falling since before I got home. Had remnants of what looked like an inch or a little more here at home from this morning, dusting on top of that and everything else now.

Maggie Valley Steve
I just stepped outside and tiny flakes slowly floating down. Cataloochee was socked in with clouds just above the base and they weren't reporting snow last hour. I was expecting windy conditions this morning. GSP mentioned a Cold Weather Advisory coming tonight for the Mountains.

cold air aloft
Light snow has picked up to moderate for about the last 20 minutes or so. About one inch so far out of today’s event. One thing for sure, with these frigid temperatures whatever falls today is going to have better lasting power than what we had yesterday.

Yep, get under a band and it’s instant stickage, sunny and dry pavement when not under one. Slick spots sneak up on you today guys, ask ms how I know lol. We’ll see how much I come home to tonight. Hoping to squeeze out at least an inch for a nice send off to Colorado. Epic conditions out there these past 7 days for the first time in a few years.
