Something to watch for Saturday morning is the trend on some of the short-range models are developing several hours of freezing rain all the way down into the Catawba Valley area, back into the MTNs. Here is the latest RGEM.

My low was 24. Snow guns have blowing all night at Cataloochee. Looks like it's going to snow after some rain Sunday afternoon and evening. More wintry weather Tuesday afternoon into Thurday as well!

Yep, the LP out of Texas with that warm front coming out of the Gulf of Mexico will be increasing the clouds today...maybe some snow this weekend too.  Be safe everyone and have a great weekend!

I just came from Catawba County to Ashe County, starting at about 2,000 ft out of Wilkes County into Watauga County the amount of tree damage all the way up to the Blue Ridge parkway is extensive. I expected to see some damage, but not this bad.

There's a lot of the same issues along the Blue Ridge in McDowell
