Tyler Penland
Had to use one of the stores fabric rulers cause I forgot mine at home but almost a half inch here in Blowing Rock.
Tyler Penland
BREMCO at almost 10k outages. Power has flickered here a few times. Nearly up to freezing although I suspect Deep Gap down towards Triplet will be below for a while longer. Remeasured and have a solid half inch here in Blowing Rock now. Rates have picked up enough to minimize additional accums I think.

The escarpment has about a third to half inch of extra rain stuck to the trees, too. That will add to the runoff.
wncsnow
The Blue Ridge escarpment near Old Fort had over .50 for sure. Pretty much every tree was drooped over and lots of broken limbs

BooneWX
Spent the day in Ashe and Watauga counties. Widespread .5” totals and many areas along the escarpment are still well below freezing at this hour. It may have been a lucky break for many, but not the northern mountains.

Met1985
Big time storm rolled through last night. Put down a ton of rainfall. Looks like a hodgpodge of weather coming in from some freezing rain to start possibly Friday night to severe weather to snow and who knows what the 20th is going to bring.

WXNewton
I just came from Catawba County to Ashe County, starting at about 2,000 ft out of Wilkes County into Watauga County the amount of tree damage all the way up to the Blue Ridge parkway is extensive. I expected to see some damage, but not this bad.
