Bit of a glaze at my house, porch and stairs slick as snot. Hopefully no issues today while I work between Morganton and Lenior

A couple trees had some light glazing as I was going up Old Fort mountian but in general temps ranged from 40 at the bottom of the mountain to 34 at the top. Nothing significant.

28 and sleet/zr here. We had about a half inch of snow with a hard crust on top.

27 with light to moderate ZR in Blowing Rock. Roads and sidewalks are fine somehow, at least so far.

I swear I saw some snowing driving back up my mountain from AVL. AVL was sitting at 38 at the office, I am at 32 here but just rain now.

Nothing but white covering everything here with a mix of all frozen.  29 on the thermometer.  Under an ice warning, so we will see what happens up here.

29 and moderate freezing rain. Ice is accumulating quickly. I am in a high sheltered valley on the east side of Roan highlands surrounded by 5500 plus foot peaks so cold air gets trapped in these situations.

My thermometer hasn't budged off of 33 all day either when high temperatures were forecasted to be in the mid 40's. Too bad it hasn't been colder in the upper levels.

Bumped up to 28 here in Blowing Rock. Ice now noticeable on the trees, especially higher up.

28 here in the Todd area...HWY 194 from Baldwin (West Jefferson) to Todd is in poor condition.  Fleetwood area roads were also in poor condition with lots of patchy ice on the roads.  

Accretion is very noticeable on the vegetation...IMO we're quickly approaching the line between 'no-problem' and 'problem'.  Be safe everyone.

We've really dodged a bullet today here in the Valley. It's been fluctuating between light to moderate rain the past couple of hours and still stuck at 33. The ground is really saturated now. Fingers and toes crossed that flooding issues do not become a reality.

We are hovering right around 32/33. A shock to the system.  Nearly a 40 degree drop in a few days.

31 here with about a quarter inch of ice so far at least. Ice is continuing to accumulate on everything.

Yeah no kidding! This could have been really really bad.

About 2/10" of ice on the trees out front. Just dipped back to 29.8 after sitting at 30.1 for a while.

Really surprised we don't have more. Air temp sat below 30 most of the day with only light rain for the most part. Odd.

The top of Old Fort mountain had at least .25 ice and even the road had a few slick spots.
