ncjoaquin
Not an exact measurement, but have around 1.5 to 2 inches. Not bad. Better than anything since January 2022, so I will take it!

Maggie Valley Steve
Measured 3 inches on the back deck, but I know a lot melted, compacted and a layer of sleet. The driveway is a sheet of ice. Cataloochee is reporting 7 inches at 6:45 this morning. Soco Rd is open in town.
strongwxnc
Congrats guys!! What a crazy system. Maybe something was learned or maybe not! That was the last little band that popped a snow last night. .
Tacoma
Happy to see some snow, will have to admit a little disappointed , only received around an inch at my house in Candler NC. I was hoping for the low end of 3-4 inches but while looking at the snow maps leading up to the storm I could tell this wasn't the classic Miller A we here in the mountains are use to. Seems like the precipitation could not overcome the dry air around West Asheville area but I was noticing the heaviest moisture stayed to the south in Georgia of which I'm glad for those folks. We may get ours yet, its' young into the winter.

Less to shovel off the driveway, so that's a win

Met1985
This morning as I look at this event it really did well all in all. The Buncombe snow hole is real. The foothills did ok. But most along the border and from Haywood south did very well. Most saw between 3 to 6 inches plus and that's a huge win in my book. The NAM did verify to a point but so did the Euro AI and the GFS. This was a win for most of us and it ended the snow drought for many.

Maggie Valley Steve
It's been dropping wintry precipitation for 24 hours now at the house and still lightly snowing. I am overall pleased with the storm and so glad the snow drought ended for many!
WxKnurd
No clue what we ended up with. I measured 2” before I went to bed last night with snow still falling. Everything wind whipped today so maybe I’ll find a sheltered spot to measure. I’d guess we hit the 3” storm total mark after factoring in sleet knocking down and compacting a little things before I got home last night.

ncjoaquin
I went for a long walk. A legit 2 inches on the road. The grass is probably an inch or less. Still getting NW flow. You elevation guys must be getting hammered. Edited to add, Met beat me to it with his pictures. Edited to add, more great pictures!!!
Tyler Penland
Wound up with a drift on my board so had to measure around the yard. Average of 5.5". Solid event and still coming down.
Buckethead
14 and moderate snow at 11am with 9" now. My dogs peed on my board, so I cleaned it and picked up another inch since then. (I guess it's their spot lol.) This is a comparable spot next to it on another board. 8.5-9.5" depending on where you look in my yard.I found a couple of 14" drifts down the hill too.Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk 9
Met1985
Just got back from this mornings adventure. It's snowing lightly with an additional .75 inches best I can tell because the wind is howling. Temp has dropped to 23 also.
Met1985
IV got to say this has been one of the best weeks of winter weather we've had in a long time. Absolutely loving this week. Snowed everyday since Monday afternoon. 6

This was as stated by gsp. 1" of snow and then everything else! Had some great sledding time with the family as the pasture today. 38 now with gusts over 20. Was not an over performer but was the first time since 2022 that we have had something. So win in my book! Keep those pictures coming guys. You all have great spots.

Sw NC weather
Ended up just shy of 3.5” in Cowee, I’d say town of Franklin had around 2.5”. Not a bad event at all. Like Met said one of the best winter weeks in a few years.
