Barely any wind in Blowing Rock all day but its breezy here at the house now.

Met1985
Looks like some more snow possible on the 3rd. The storm on the 6th looks like rain to upslope snow currently which is a dang waste but we will see how it goes.

The storm on the 10th I think trends northward which will put us in the bullseye. Lots of possibilities this whole month. I just want all the damn snow lol. 3

Buckethead
I like seeing this to our south this far out. It may play out like this, but it could very easily trend NW. I like our chances. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
Buckethead
23 and moderate snow, but only closing in on an inch now. It's predominantly tiny little balls instead of flakes. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

A low right there, if that is where it actually ended up, would snow more than what is being printed out. Regardless, you and Met, and you other higher mountain people should get a few good upslope events coming up.
Maggie Valley Steve
Upper air pattern continues to waffle with no reliability in any one solution. Models have always struggled with these very cold patterns and the depth of the very cold air. Personally, I believe the 6th is not lost for our area and likely we will see Winter Storm Watches hoisted Saturday evening. I also believe we will see multiple disturbances rotating across the Mountains beyond the 6th offering additional opportunities for snow showers.

One misses just to our North, the other South and then generally cold/ dry with a few flurries or dustings then warms up enough that the next big system is Rain. We wound up in the Screw zone those Winter's. The early to mid 70's come to mind. Hopefully, not the Case this time but , sadly looking like a possibility. On a positive note for you folks on that side of the Mountains, you all faired better than us during those times as the Southern Systems would graze you all and give some accumulation and Cad helped with the other some. Sw NC weather
Euro AI is looking good for the same time frame as the GFS. Definitely believe this is our best shot at a big storm. Ratios shown are 10:1, would definitely be better than that in this case.

Tyler Penland
Glancing at the Euro soundings verbatim it is very, very close to staying all snow in the mountains on Monday. I would imagine the warm nose wins (it almost always does) but it is very close.
wncsnow
I really thought yall might get a sneaky 1-3 inch event Friday with the clipper but that's trended way north much like the storm Sunday/Monday.
