Lots of missing stations. Only the big ones leave a hole like this, in my experience.

I think some of those very heavy bands effectively mixed winds down the the surface and combine this with the forward speed of the storm. It goes to show you there is far more to hurricanes than just that category they make at landfall.

My aunt and uncle live in Live Oak, FL and got hit really hard for the 2nd time this year. They had crazy flooding and some tree damage from Debby now tons of tree damage from Helene. This was just around their house.

Driving east on I-10 earlier from Greenville to Live Oak had tremendous tree damage. There was a zone southeast of Madison that had legitimately large pines snapped at the base. I have never seen anything like that.
