did anyone hear anything more about that noaa 42 plane we saw doing circles yesterday? ive seen some reports saying they got damaged and stuck in plane and i also saw some saying they were doing a UAV mission which i did find on the recon flight plan....

All guidance was too far west with landfall, but globals were better. Hurricane models were furthest west.

In this video at 3:04 we can see the Marathon gas station at 815 1st Ave in Steinhatchee, FL. Using Google Street view as a guide the water appears to be about 2 feet up the ice building on the property. Using detailed USGS topographic maps this property is about 10' above sea level. This puts the surge at about 12' at this point along the Steinhatchee River and at the time the video was made.

On the coast of NC we had very little weather other than some rotating supercells. This is one I managed to catch about 2 miles from my house. Decent wall cloud and a solid funnel for a weak rotation. It tried hard to put one down but never did I don't think
