76.5 degrees here at 2:15.  This time of the year my sensors spend more and more time in the shade.  However, the mid afternoon period still gets full sun, if only for a few hours.  I think 80 is doable here before 4:30.  Also, now almost looks certain that I will have my driest month on record at 0.42", eclipsing the 0.63" from December 1988.

I think something is going on with the sensor at MUI, perhaps some exposure issues.  I'm pretty convinced it's artificially spiking during peak heating.  It's typically one of our cooler local sites; makes no sense to be spitting out the readings it has over the last couple of weeks.  Right now on the Keystone Mesonet there are two other stations within a couple miles of MUI at similar elevations that are both five degrees cooler.  Something is awry.

I agree (though they are matching THV right now) but how long will it go on?  Not sure where the sensor is, if near the tarmac then it is low elevation.   It feels like it has been a month now.   With this said, several times it has been high I found WU's not TOO far off near by so hard to be sure.   I see 76-78's on WU right now.

Happy Halloween! Yet another warm beautiful day on the way with temperatures while not record warmth for trick or treaters it will still be well into the 70's with some low 80's in lower elevations. Cold front cross tomorrow morning with very slight chances of rain. Much chillier over the weekend with temperatures falling back to near normal levels to start November.

Low of 52.  Happy Halloween to all, especially those with little kids.  Big day for the youngsters.  If the MDT recent trend continues, we'll probably fall just shy of setting a record today but worth monitoring.  Man, what a comedy of errors by the Yankees last night to blow that game.  The play with Cole and Rizzo was just so so bad.  Hard to stomach.

Honestly surprised that we're not in a D2 by this point.

This is actually a very rare-looking US precip may for early November - large part of the middle of the country is quite wet:

Unfortunate for us, fortunate for them if they want rain that they are on the outer edge of a ring of fire.   It all gets diverted around us for at least another week. :-(

I'm pretty stoked the NYY blew the World Series! Sorry to our local Yankee fans, ha.

I am sad however baseball is now over until March. :(

My disdain for the Yankees is only surpassed by my absolute hatred of the Red Sox. :)  And that has much more to do with the fans vs the actual teams.
