Well...

Penn State's next 2 games are the toughest on paper and likely on the field as well for the rest of the season. Lions will be favored in their final 4 games. Let's assume that they win those final 4 (I won't actually assume that in reality, but I'm playing a game here) - then they need to win 1 of these 2 games to comfortably get in the playoffs at 11-1. 10-2 would put them on the bubble and depend on what everyone else does. It will also come down to "how" PSU wins and loses the final 6 games. For that reason tonight's game is gargantuan. A win gets us to 7-0 with some breathing room next week. A loss makes next week an absolute must have and we all know how that's likely to go. If we were able to see into the future I'd much rather win next week for obvious reasons over tonight but I don't want to go into next week facing a must win. PSU needs to play a perfect to near perfect game tonight and try and get out of Madison with a win. I don't care if it's ugly...we really need to win tonight.

If I lived where my company shop is located, I would have. It sits in the lowest spot in a creek valley in West Penn Township, south of Tamaqua and at the base of the Blue Mountain, and the cold air always drains to there. Almost every winter morning it's 2 to 5 degrees colder than surrounding locations.

Every damn day. Just can't let me win one, can you???

I don't wanna win by low temps. I'd like to win by high temps. Of course this is what happens when I live at the bottom of a hollow in the valley. Now if i walk out of my house and go about 200ft. up the hill I bet it's probably 2 to 3 degrees warmer or probably more, then down here at the house.

Yup. That's how it is at our shop. In the dead of winter, if it's between 0 and 5 degrees in town, at work there's a good possibility that it's below zero.

Low of 35. Huge win by the nameless jersey boys last night. Massive. Now all eyes on Allar’s health. That Halloween record high creeping further into play.

If it were MUI or CXY I would say Oct 30th and one or two days in Early Nov are also in play.    If MUI continues recent trends they are going to be 85-90 more than 2 days in the next 2 weeks.

Today should be several degrees chillier than yesterday with highs in the upper 50's. Freeze warning tonight although many spots have already seen multiple freezing temps in lower spots of the county. Most spots except the highest locations like here in East Nantmeal should see a freeze by Monday morning. We start a nice warming trend tomorrow that will last through Halloween before we trend cooler to start November. This week's warmer temperatures should ensure our first above normal temperature month since July. There is a slight chance of showers later on Halloween night....but I am not holding my breath!

Fun fact for the guy who eats up fun facts...through 8 games this season, Indiana has done something that Nick Saban never did at Alabama- the Hoosiers have never trailed in a game yet.
