It's never dropped below 65 in my house yet and doesn't look like it'll be light jacket weather for at least two more weeks. Where are we are hottest October ever? I've also had .03" rain in the past 40 days. It's drier than a bar on BYU's campus. Per xMacis, at Harrisburg, the month-to-date would be 15th warmest on record at Harrisburg, although it bumps up to ninth warmest if you categorize by average maximum temperature. Should drop some before the end of the month with cooler weather until the last 2 or 3 days.

We have only had a two days in the 80's. MDT has been fairly moderate this month. Just slightly over 1 AN right now. Maybe your new heated seats are on and you did not notice?

Highs have been warmer, so maybe that's part of it. If the month ended today, only 8 years were warmer. And, of those 8, only 4 were more than 1F warmer. And 2 of those years (1947 & 1963) were decades ago. Also been sunnier than usual. Skycover is averaging 3/10 for the month. Cool nights have kept the overall departures down, in a reversal of most recent months.

Mount Joy Snowman
Since it's being bantered about, I don't think this month will end up as anything too special (probably ~2 degrees AN). I did my end-of-month chicken scratch and have us ending October with a mean temp of 58.1, which would be tied with 1990 for 22nd place all-time. The extent of the warmth on the last couple of days could throw a wrench into things but I'm pretty comfortable with that number. Book it. 3

pawatch
66 degrees for the high yesterday. 29 degrees this morning for our low. I don’t think the wind was as bad yesterday as what they were forecasting. Foliage appears to be past peak now. Mowed yesterday
mahantango#1
29 this morning. Looks windy tomorrow! Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

ChescoWx
Many of the lower spots in Chester County were well down into the 30's including a below freezing low at Warwick Park for the 7th time this month. Higher spots in the county have still not experienced even 1 freezing low this autumn. Temperatures are near to slightly below normal through the weekend before we start a nice warming trend that should peak on Halloween with temperatures that day well into the mid-70's! Of course, absolutely no rain in the forecast for at least the next week.
