LOL, I have had lows below 0 more than once in the last 4 years.  What the hell is he talking about?  Two snow storms 20" or more in the last 4 years.

Maybe he's talking about The beginning of December. I'm thinking the last few years were warm in that time period. But then again, maybe he's off his meds again. Maybe you gotta pay $5.00 a month than he'll go into further detail. Thats in addition to the other services he provides. But I think you already subscribe to his other services.

Not sure.  Last Dec,  15 of the 31 days had lows 32 or below at the Richmond NWS reporting station.    18 the previous Dec with one low of 8.  That is damn cold for his Capital of the Confederacy locale.

6z GFS gets the cold in place this weekend & then it gets very active with multiple Winter storm chances from around 5th through the end of the run.

The run starts of with a healthy looking Clipper on the 5th.

Then the stream gets involved & has a more impressive looking storm chance on the 9th.

Let’s get the cold air in place & then hopefully we are tracking multiple chances.

The 0z GFS shows a crushing snowstorm chance this run for us on 12/7 into 12/8.

The cold air is getting entrenched this weekend, so hopefully Winter storm chances like this aren’t too far away.

Now THIS is the type of eye candy we expect out of you Blizz. A little disappointed it’s not beyond 300 hours but we’ll manage. Well done! 35 when I left the house. Wishing everyone a bountiful Thanksgiving with health and happiness for all!

Anyone else thinking this could be a pretty audacious lake-effect event through the weekend?  The Chautauqua Ridge has my attention, and of course the Tug Hill will get theirs. I think someone's popping 3-4 feet by next Monday or Tuesday.

Bills home game in Orchard Park on Sunday Night Football...

Wonder what they will do with the Buffalo, 49ers game Sunday night?

There is good agreement among the 3 global ensembles that the favorable pattern holds at least through the second week of December.

Ridging out west & the Aleutian low should continue to deliver cold air into the east. It should then just be a matter of time until we have opportunities for Winter weather.

The cold continues to hold in the east as well in week 2 on the three global ensembles.

Well, if true, I'll have a few extra days off in the next few weeks if they hit Mon-Fri. The 8,000 gallon tank I pull needs a permit because the truck weighs 100,000lbs. The permit specifically states the roads must be clear of snow or ice from shoulder to shoulder to run.

Not sure if I should pray for snow or not...

Seems there's some uncertainty as to just how far the bands will wander into Erie County (NY, not PA ha) but yeah could definitely be a fun one Sunday night.

Speaking of maps -

I do believe that about a week ago at this time, most "maps" were indicating a big swath of significant snow directly over my house for tomorrow.

How are we looking?

Lol, but it’s not too far away.

The northern half of PA should see snow tomorrow.

Also, this is the beginning of the pattern change.

Our window opens next week.

So Hamburg would not be a great spot for this one? Poo.

Perhaps not but who the hell really knows with LES.  Put me on a hill somewhere between Jamestown and Dunkirk and call it a day.

You know how tempting that is? It takes me 15 minutes longer to get to Jamestown than Harrisburg.
