Superstorm
I was staying in Milford PA last night. This morning had about 3 inches of snow on the car. But only about 2 miles away in the higher elevations of New Jersey. They had a foot and a half of snow..

DDweatherman
Snowing nicely, still 32 here. Now that it’s dark, with these decent rates it’s adding to the totals. radar says it should continue still for a bit.

Funny thing is, although the Gem looked pretty good at 12z, as recently as the 0z Thursday run it showed a squashed whiff like the Ukie, Gfs and likely 18z Icon would show. Should have stayed the course instead of going dark.

MAG5035
1.2” was the best accum measured at the house today. Surface temps were just a couple degrees too warm in the early afternoon when the best snow rates were falling before transition to rain. Been mostly rain/white rain for a bit now with up to 0.85” for the day in precip. Currently about 36ºF. I spent the morning on Tussey Mountain in NW Huntingdon Co for the last day of archery and by mid afternoon there was likely 4-6”+ above 1800’ on that ridge, esp towards State College. This is still ongoing in the Laurel’s, might have to make the 30 minute drive to the top of Blue Knob to see the situation up there. I bet there’s monster totals at that elevation. ChescoWx
Some of the higher spots in Chester County saw their first measurable snow of the young fall/winter season. Some of the trained spotter reported amounts (see map below) to the National Weather Service included 1.3" at West Caln Township / 0.6" at Honey Brook Township / 0.3" at East Nantmeal Township / 0.2" at Fricks and 0.1" at Paoli. Of note the 0.3" recorded at East Nantmeal Township marks the 2nd consecutive year with measurable November snow in the Township. This follows 4 years without measurable November snow dating back to one of the largest November storms in county history that occurred November 15th through 16th of 2018 when 7.3" of snow was recorded at East Nantmeal Township. I honestly feel bad for people who invested a crap ton of money on this team. Meanwhile, Caleb Martin is out there running his ass off with a hand on his injured back.
