This is like the Nuclear Power Plant Warning that EAS nerds bust out on their YouTube videos. I've never seen that headline before.

Funny you mention this- MU had hours at 49 today but never once hit 50!

If these figures are right and MDT does indeed not reach 50, they will come in tied with the 10th latest date to not reach 50 entering the winter season.  I have been nerding on stats lately and MJS has been gracious in not getting mad :-).   Ha.   About 3/4 of years, MDT has stayed under 50 by some time in October.  Some of this can be attributed to the lack of rain and clouds this year.

Pretty good chance I'll finish this event without a drop of rainfall. Wasn't expecting much at all...but thought I'd get something. MU was right. Again. From this morning:

@MUweather

Light rain will overspread northern MD and the LSV from SW-to-NE between 1:30 to 6 PM this afternoon, but it’s running into very dry air and high pressure over New England. I still don’t expect much east of Rt. 11 and the Susquehanna River. The rain will be largely beneficial.

In addition to most of Chester County getting some light rain last night and into this AM - there was also some snow mixed in for a time. Here in East Nantmeal we received 0.04" of rain with the most I could find being the 0.11" up at Warwick Park. We start a slow moderating trend that will last through midweek next week before we turn much chillier by late week. Our next chance of rain and maybe even some wet snow will be Wednesday night into Thursday.

This was a really bad take on my part - ended up with .07" of rainfall. Not a lot, but more than nothing. :)  Temp was 37 when I left for work.

Those petunia plants are very hardy, after numerous frosts and temps as low as 23.6 they are still living. The ones planted in the ground don't have flowers but they are still living. The hanging baskets have flowers and are thriving.

I'm still waiting to see them in Downtown Pillow as I drive through...

The river I don’t think I’ve ever seen this low. There are rocks visible I’ve never noticed - you can walk across and be waist deep at most.

Juniata and West Branch Susky are the same. I'm assuming there's riverbed that is currently exposed that hasnt been in decades.

Thank goodness for Jared McCain. What a breath of fresh air amongst the stench that is the Philadelphia 76ers.

They are digging a massive hole early this season that will be tough to overcome.

McCain has been fun to watch & is putting up impressive numbers.

They need to figure it out soon, or this will be a lost season.
