More confidence!

Man for man the Ravens have more talent, especially at the skill positions. I will say that unlike so many Steelers teams of the recent past, this team has some intangibles that are intriguing. They really rally around each other and Tomlin and other than Pickens they are selfless.

Up to 0.48” on the event so far here. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a 44ºF synoptic rainfall. While we’re going to need a couple decent rain events to start to address the longer term hydro issues in areas that have been under more significant drought conditions (mainly in the SW and SE parts of the state)… this rain should put an end to what had been a very high wildfire threat not often seen around here. The combo of the near record to record dry October and the remaining dead leaves falling/dying or dead forest undergrowth really made a unique setup for having several bigger wildfires which were likely mainly caused by careless burning this past week with the windy/dry weather.

I’m eyeing some more wholesale changes to the weather pattern in the 11/20-25 range as we get towards Thanksgiving week. Way out there yet but modelling has been showing variations of a more significant weather system/amplifcation in that timeframe perhaps ushering in the first stretch of more wintry temperatures and perhaps first flakes. The pattern does at least look more active in the meantime as well, with one or two rain chances showing.

.02 in the bucket.    Hoping the next line gives more.  Rain stopping right now.    This rain is not going to dent the drought but hope it helps with fires.

.19 here so far…sure is nice to see things wet again.

Rain totals since yesterday evening ranged between 0.27" at Devault to as much as 0.57"at Nottingham. Here in East Nantmeal we received 0.37" of rain. The rest of this week looks dry and chilly. Temperatures both Wednesday and Thursday will see high temperatures remaining in the 40's in the higher spots and low 50's in the valley locales. Freezing lows look likely both Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
