Down 9 more notches over the past hour. 45 at 5:25pm.

Dropping fast here too but mesos's insist no freeze tonight.  Even the rgem agrees for the most part with 90% of the area staying 33 and above.     Looks like CXY and HGR led the way for the NWS stations today at 57/58.

I think clouds are going to cap things later.

39 for the low here.  Up to 44. Looks like mdt and cxy did 35 or 36.  Hgr could only get to 42.  Lns, mui and thv appear to have made it to 32 or below.    Some crazy variations over to the east. Low to Mid 40's and upper 20's within a few dozen miles

Wed AM still looks likely to finally break the seal for those of us who have not hit freezing yet.  MDT, no bets there.  If they miss this one they could be headed for top 5 or record category as there are no signs of a sustained cold outbreak at 500H on ensembles or ops.  This is BY FAR the longest I have gone into a season without hitting 32.    The Gefs is the coldest of the 3 in the LR but not cold for this time of the year...we do finally get rid of 70's and 80's.  Zonal across the board.  Seattle air over us.    MU is probably giddily getting ready to write off Nov after mid-week coming up.

Most lower spots across the area were again well down into the 20's for overnight lows. Here in East Nantmeal we could go no lower than 36.6 degrees. We have yet to experience a freezing temperature here in EN....if we can make it through Wednesday this year would be the latest first freeze in the 21 years I have been at this location. Clouds are on the increase, and we will finally see our first widespread rain since September 29th across the area. The rain should start from west to east around the 7pm hour and be over before the Monday morning rush hour. Be careful if you are out driving this evening as rain will be falling on roads that have quite a bit of built-up oil and leaves. Tomorrow will be the warmest day of the week with highs back into the mid 60's but by Wednesday higher spots in the county will struggle to escape the 40's for high temperatures and we could see a pretty solid freeze by Wednesday AM.

Eh, I thought he only wrote off the first half.  My bad.   Up to 55 here already.  Cannot seem to break this elevation = warm streak.

You might be right. I had just read last week his comment about winter essentially being from 12/20 through 1/10 and assumed he wrote off everything before that.

It is 55 here currently.

I could handle a winter like that. Let it snow like a MF'er, then bring on spring...lol
