A combination of dry air and very dry fuels on Saturday will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread in central Pennsylvania. Minimum relative humidity values will range from 20 to 35 percent. Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly. For more information about wildfire danger, burn restrictions, and wildfire prevention and education, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website at https://dcnr.pa.gov/Communities/Wildfire. pawatch
30 degrees this morning. I know I always seem a few degrees cooler. But I’m north of the city and have open fields around me, no trees. Lot of the times the city is 5 degrees warmer. Unless we get some rain the brush fires is going to be a concern. People tend to be careless.

They have a burn ban in place so no fires. Rats.

Bubbler86
About 1/2 of the local weather stations that are in the network I am involved with have not reached 32 this season yet. Wed AM is a legit chance. Not sure if MDT (Canadian says yes, others not so much) but outside the HIA areas it may be more likely. It is actual cold air provided via a trough and not radiational based as some of the other cold snaps have been. So, elevation finally has a shot. ChescoWx
Seasonably chilly day today with highs just a couple degrees below normal levels. Sunny today and finally some much needed rain tomorrow evening into the Monday AM commute! We warm to above normal temperatures on Monday before we chill back to normal readings for the rest of the work week.
