Central PA Autumn 2024

We cool down over the weekend to near to below normal temperatures. A freeze is possible by Sunday AM. Some higher spots who have yet to see a freeze have a slight chance at that time. Showers look to arrive by Sunday evening with a general 0.50" of much needed rain possible. A slight warm up Monday before we cool down to close to normal for temperatures for much of next week.

As bad as this drought has been over the last 1-2 months, it is nothing year wise compared to last year for MDT and HGR and not even as bad at LNS...last year was bad (as was 2020 at MDT and HGR) and did not get the publicity.  MDT, LNS then HGR below  Tropical storm precip part of the disparity for MDT and HGR but not all of it.  For LNS 2023 was the third driest 01-01 to 11-07 on record and 2024 was the 4th.   MDT numbers sorted by date, not totals.

62 nooners.  Winds gusting into the 30's.  Feels colder than it probably should this time of the year when the temp is 8 degrees above normal.  Some LSV NWS stations in the upper 60's for more double digit AN highs.   Might get some more 70's there today.   Meos's were pretty blah on qqf for Sunday.

I haven't had this level of immediate regret since the time I reached down and felt the Adam's Apple on the stripper providing a private service in the back room of the titty bar along 322 in Duncannon.
