Final note from yesterday:

MU Weather Center

@MUweather

Today’s official high at@millersvilleu was an astounding 84.4F! The old record was topped by 3 degrees, and this is only the 2nd time post-October 28th that the mercury has reached 84F at the ‘Ville since 1914 (the other being 11/2/1982). #climatology #halloween2024

Yes I remember that day Nov. 2, 1982 it was very warm and on the humid side that stayed warm into the night. I remember taking my grandfather to vote that evening before 7pm.

Y'all being 7-8 warmer than me, what is the argument about....LOL.   For once this fall, elevation takes the W.

On the ironic side of things, the temperature this morning is the same 48 degrees in both Tamaqua AND Sun City....

Low of 43. A couple of classic fall days ahead. I hear there’s a pretty big football game today?

Indeed - Millersville (0-8) at Kutztown (8-0)

Sad how far MU'S football program has fallen. When I was growing up they were a perennial powerhouse under Gene Carpenter.

We start off November with temperatures near to below normal this weekend. We could see another freeze in the typically colder lower spots and frost in ridge locations overnight tonight and again on Sunday night. We warm back into the low to mid 70's by Wednesday before another cool down toward the end of the week.

We are between 800 and 900 feet and think the cool air was a little deeper this far west.

Farther west, colder temps most likely because my backyard sits at 845 feet. Also we had some wind to keep radiational cooling to a minimum.

In Hanover right now and already up to 58 so warming nicely over here.  Thought you were in a valley but I guess a nicely elevated one.
