I'm back and I learned an important lesson. Never ever go to a dentist for a root canal. I did so last Monday. I went to bed Wednesday not feeling well. Woke up 2 am soaked, in pain, and barely able to think. Lucky I was at my parents with my daughter cause I barely remember calling 911 and waking them. I awoke next sometime Friday evening in the ICU, it's all blurry. Sepsis sucks and comes on fast. I'm lucky

Not good man. Glad you are getting better. Sepsis sucks. When i was sick in may, i was septic. One of the biggest side affects is fatigue. I'm still not right. Good luck.

Light rain in Harrisburg. looks like we don't break 70 again today

Yeah. Let's ruin a guys practice on something they didn't do on purpose lol.
It wasn't her fault. I should have went to specialist. She advised that since I have funky roots. What's bad is I legit had a phobia of dentist before where I would have almost panic attacks there. Now there is no way I'm going to let anyone near my mouth unless I have enough Valium in me to tranq an elephant

I feel like a truck hit me, backed up, and hit me one more time. I literally had to take a break going up the stairs of my house. Id love to get back to work soon, but I can't like this.

sorry man. Hope you're feeling better soon. Though we didn't have same thing, took me 3 months to fully recover.

Glad you're feeling better. I come from a family of dentists. My only fear of dentists stems from childhood when my father knew I couldn't talk back with a drill in my mouth so he took the opportunity to remind me of my "shortcomings." I  can't begin to tell you how much that hurt.

After a general light rainfall across the county yesterday with well below normal temps we should see another day with highs remaining in the 60's with clouds. Rain chances increase again by late tonight through Thursday morning. By Thursday we warm to above normal in the mid to upper 70's before drying out and cooling down for the weekend.

Thank you my friend. How is your grass doing? Have the rain gods been kind to you at all?

The last two days have been a real soaker.  Watering of the grass is done for the year though it is mostly dormant now.  I did plant several large areas of seed so this will help that a bit (and will have to keep watering that and the flowers if it dries out again...new grass seed needs water daily at the start.)

Rainfall totals while I was gone.....

Saturday night:  .38" and wife says it was quite the storm, with power being lost for a bit.

Monday:  .68" of an all-day soaking kind of rain.  Was not expecting that much but also hadn't been keeping up with any local forecasts.

Glad to be back from Bethel, where they are rapidly losing daylight and the winter winds are starting to howl.  Man, these little outpost towns scattered across the Alaskan frontier are something else.  Just a completely different way of life.  You really do feel like you're in another world.  A lot of things that matter here just......don't there, and vice versa.  Hard to explain, but as my buddy who lives there always says, "Bethel isn't a real place" ha.  Feeling quite jet-lagged as I sit here in Harrisburg.  Onward.

Jns2183 - best wishes to you. What an incredibly scary time, so glad you are improving.
Thank you. It still shocked me how fast it happened and that when I woke up even though I was mentally confused I knew with ever inch of my fiber something was super wrong so much so that I called 911 immediately

Holy crap. Did you spend a night anywhere on the route?

No.  Left Bethel around lunch time locally on Sunday and had a bit of a layover in Anchorage.  Overnight flight from Seattle to Detroit, where I got maybe two hours of crappy plane sleep.  When all was said and done, got into Philly ~8am eastern.  Then of course have to commute home from PHL.  Always brutal traveling west to east.  I'm pooped, but nothing compared to what you've been dealing with.  Good luck with your recovery pal.
